The AV-PL-ROAD project "Polish Road to Automation of Road Transport" implemented in 2018-2021 by a consortium consisting of: the Ministry of Infrastructure (MI), the Motor Transport Institute (ITS) and the Warsaw University of Technology (PW) and also the activities undertaken by the Connected and Autonomous Vehicles Competence Centre (CK:PAP), which was established as part of this project resulted in the development of a draft act amending the Road Traffic Law.

The show of consumer electronics and new technologies - CES 2024 (Consumer Electronics Show) took place on January 7-12, 2024 in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA). During the fair, the following items are presented: prototypes, new products or services. The event, which has been organized annually since 1967, sets trends and defines prospects for the development of innovative technologies.

Our country is facing a paradox - on the one hand, we have outstanding engineers and are one of the leaders in the development of automotive technologies, on the other hand, regulations limit the testing of autonomous vehicles on Polish roads. An article by Jolanta Szymczyk-Przewoźna in Dziennik Gazeta Prawna (DGP) of February 6, 2024 describes the barriers faced by companies wanting to test these innovative solutions.
