On 16–17 September, the International Conference “Psychology of Mobility – Shaping Future Transport Behaviors” was held, organized by the Center for EU Transport Projects, the Motor Transport Institute, and the City and Municipality of Skawina. The event, conducted within the framework of the Transport Research Observatory, gathered experts, practitioners, representatives of public administration and research institutions, as well as a broad audience of participants. The conference was held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

The Motor Transport Institute hosted researchers from the University of Virginia (USA). Professor Matthew Panzer, an expert in injury biomechanics, and Dr. Bronisław Gepner, a specialist in human body modeling and road user protection, visited Warsaw. The meeting fostered an exchange of experience in transport safety research.

On September 12, 2025, a joint meeting of the Infrastructure Committee and the Deregulation Committee was held in the Sejm building in Warsaw, at 1 Wiejska Street, concerning planned changes to the procedures for authorizing tests of autonomous vehicles on public roads.

On 2–5 September 2025, the International Conference Transport of the 21st Century took place, serving as an important platform for the exchange of experience and presentation of achievements by national and international scientific and research institutions. The conference aimed to integrate the academic community and to outline key directions for the development of transport in both technical-technological and organizational dimensions.

In August 2025, Waymo, a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc., obtained from the New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) the first-ever permit to conduct autonomous vehicle testing in New York City. This decision represents a significant milestone in the development of automated transport technologies under metropolitan conditions, which are widely considered among the most complex in the world due to traffic dynamics and density of interactions.

On Friday, August 1, 2025, a jury in Miami, Florida, USA, ruled that Tesla, as the vehicle manufacturer, was liable for the malfunction of the Autopilot feature in the Model S, which contributed to the death of one person and significant injuries to another.

On June 12, 2025, the IV edition of the international AV-POLAND 2025 conference, dedicated to road transport automation, took place at the headquarters of the Institute of Motor Transport in Warsaw. This year’s theme was: “FEEL THE FUTURE, FEEL THE AUTOMATION.”

We are pleased to announce that the Motor Transport Institute (ITS) is a co-organizer of the prestigious webinar, "Psychology of Mobility: Shaping Future Transport Behaviours". The event, organized by the Centre for EU Transport Projects (CEUTP) as part of the Transport Research Observatory, will take place on September 16-17, 2025.

On 17 June 2025, the Council of Ministers adopted a draft act submitted by the Minister of Infrastructure amending the Road Traffic Law and the Act on Compulsory Insurance, the Insurance Guarantee Fund and the Polish Motor Insurers' Bureau (deregulation draft).

On June 12, 2025, the 4th edition of the international AV-POLAND conference took place at the Motor Transport Institute (ITS) headquarters in Warsaw. This is the leading event in Poland dedicated to road transport automation. This year's theme was: “FEEL THE FUTURE, FEEL THE AUTOMATION.” Organized by the Motor Transport Institute and the Competence Centre for Autonomous and Connected Vehicles, the event brought together experts, researchers, public administration representatives, business leaders, and international organizations working on the development of autonomous (AV) and connected (CAD) vehicles.
