On May 16-18, 2023, a five-person delegation of scientists from the Faculty of Transport Engineering of the Vilnius University of Technology (Vilnius Gediminas Technical University - VILNIUS TECH) visited Motor Transport Institute (ITS). The official visit of guests from Lithuania took place as part of the ERASMUS+ community programme.
Motor Transport Institute’s Connected and Autonomous Vehicles Competence Centre (CK:PAP) is an expert institution involved in both research and development and monitoring of projects implemented in other countries, which allows the application of their results in Poland. On May 9, 2023, workshops of the European SAFE-UP project took place, the aim of which is to increase safety of motorcyclists. The expert meeting was attended by a representative of CK:PAP.
On April 13, 2023, the UK Department for Transport gave Ford Motor Company permission to use Advanced Driver Assistance Technology (BlueCruise), enabling “hands-off, eyes-on” driving on selected motorways in England, Scotland and Wales, referred to as the Blue Zones, currently covering approximately 3,700 km.
