IV Scientific and Technical Conference “Autonomous Vehicles – Challenges and Opportunities for the Economy and National Defence”

On 18–19 November 2026, the IV Scientific and Technical Conference “Autonomous Vehicles – Challenges and Opportunities for the Economy and National Defence” will take place. This international event is dedicated to the development of autonomous technologies, advanced mobility, and their applications in the civil and defence sectors.

The conference is organised by Łukasiewicz Research Network – Automotive Industry Institute in cooperation with the Military Institute of Armoured and Automotive Technology. This year’s edition of the conference is financed from the state budget, with funding awarded by the Minister of Science and Higher Education under the Science Vectors Programme.

The conference provides a platform for exchanging knowledge and experience among representatives of public administration, research institutes, universities, industry, and the defence sector from Poland and abroad. The event programme includes expert presentations, scientific sessions, presentations of innovative technologies, demonstrations of autonomous vehicles, and an exhibition area.

The conference will cover the following topics:

  • unmanned autonomous platforms – vehicles and systems for civil and military applications;
  • simulation and experimental research on automated and autonomous vehicles;
  • artificial intelligence in vehicle automation and their systems;
  • perception and sensor fusion systems in automated vehicles;
  • navigation, control, and communication systems for automated vehicles;
  • legal, social, and ethical aspects of transport automation.

The conference is addressed to representatives of academia, industry, public administration, and services responsible for national security. It is an excellent opportunity to exchange experience, establish new contacts, and learn about the latest developments in autonomous transport systems.
