The Motor Transport Institute Co-organizes the "Psychology of Mobility" Webinar

We are pleased to announce that the Motor Transport Institute (ITS) is a co-organizer of the prestigious webinar, “Psychology of Mobility: Shaping Future Transport Behaviours”. The event, organized by the Centre for EU Transport Projects (CEUTP) as part of the Transport Research Observatory, will take place on September 16-17, 2025.

The Institute’s involvement in this event underscores our leading role in research on the safety and behaviour of road users. ITS experts will actively participate in discussions, sharing their knowledge and the results of their latest research.

The event will be inaugurated by speakers including Professor Marcin Ślęzak, PhD, DSc, Eng., the Director of the Motor Transport Institute, who will also deliver a presentation on the first day of the conference concerning the risks associated with electromobility.

Our specialists will present on a wide range of topics covering the key challenges of modern transport:

In Session 1: “Psychosocial aspects of transport choices,” the speakers will be:

  • Ewa Odachowska-Rogalska, PhD, with the presentation “Psychological aspects of making transport choices.”
  • Katarzyna Sicińska, PhD, and Anna Zielińska, M.Sc. Eng., will present on “E-scooters – a new mode of transport, a new threat.”

The Centre for Competence of Autonomous and Connected Vehicles will be strongly represented. The Centre’s experts will present their research findings during the thematic block “Session 2: Psychology and new transport technologies”:

  • Monika Ucińska, M.Sc., and Ewa Odachowska-Rogalska, PhD – “Psychological aspects of vehicle automation (adaptation to autonomous vehicles and behavioural change processes from a psychological perspective).”
  • Aleksandra Rodak, M.Sc. Eng. – “The influence of HMI on the Take-Over Request in an automated vehicle.”
  • Małgorzata Pełka, PhD, Eng. – “New methods for training drivers in the use of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).”
