Mobility Psychology: Shaping the Transport Behavior of the Future

The International Conference “Mobility Psychology – Shaping the Transport Behavior of the Future,” organized by the Centre for European Union Transport Projects, the Motor Transport Institute, and the City and Commune of Skawina, took place online on September 16–17, 2025. The event, held as part of the Transport Research Observatory, brought together experts, practitioners, and representatives of government and research institutions, as well as a wide range of participants. The conference was held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

The participation of ITS representatives in this event emphasizes the leading role of the Motor Transport Institute in research on the safety and behavior of road users. Experts of the Connected and Autonomous Vehicles Competence Center actively participated in the discussions, sharing their knowledge and the results of the latest research.

AV-POLAND 2025

The 4th AV-POLAND Conference took place on June 12, 2025, at the headquarters of the Motor Transport Institute.

The event, which addressed a broad spectrum of challenges related to transport automation, was aimed at entrepreneurs, business representatives, local government authorities, and research institutions.

The plenary sessions focused on the latest technological trends in vehicle automation and the use of innovative solutions for in-vehicle monitoring, as well as the testing and homologation of driving automation systems.

Participants had access to a dedicated exhibition area where the latest road transport automation technologies were showcased. The event also featured dynamic demonstrations of cutting-edge technologies in the field of road transport automation.

DroniadaTech by Silesian University of Technology 2024

Droniada Tech by Silesian University of Technology is a conference with a long tradition, dealing with the topic of drones and road transport automation. In 2024, by the decision of the event organizer, the President of the Mikromakro Institute Foundation, the scope of the conference was expanded to include automation in other branches of transport. The Connected and Autonomous Vehicles Competence Centre (CK:PAP) had the honor to take patronage over autonomous road transport, organizing an expert debate and being a member of the Organizing Committee. Droniada Tech by Silesian University of Technology will take place on June 3-4, 2024. at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów, and today we invite you to watch the debate.

AV-POLAND 2022

The 3rd AV-POLAND Conference took place on June 7, 2022. The event, similarly to the previous year, was very popular. More than 150 guests from Poland and other European countries attended the event, and the coverage of the event was viewed by approximately 500 users. Information and summaries of the event appeared a total of 929 times in the press, radio, television and on social media. The reach of this information is 65.1 million and reachability is 8.5 million. During the 3rd AV-POLAND Conference, the following topics were discussed:
  • social challenges related to the automation of road transport in Poland in the context of the results of the AV-PL-ROAD project
  • the role of CK:PAP in the implementation of transport automation in Poland – as one of the main effects of the implementation of the AV-PL-ROAD project
  • current technological trends, including vehicle automation in industry
  • formal, legislative and technical challenges related to the implementation of autonomous vehicles in Poland
international initiatives with the participation of Polish entities – effects of the implementation of international projects and activities.

AV-POLAND 2021

The 2nd AV-POLAND Conference organized on June 7, 2021 resulted in great interest – the broadcast of the event, in two languages, was watched by over 1,300 people. During the conference, there were sessions dedicated to the effects of the AV-PL-ROAD project, and the launch of the Connected and Autonomous Vehicles Competence Centre (CK:PAP) was officially announced as one of the main effects of the project. The subject of the discussion was technological changes in transport and the challenges associated with them, as well as the possibilities of cooperation in this area between the Visegrad Group countries. The last session of the event focused on European initiatives on knowledge and conscious trust in automation. This approach made it possible to collect good practices used internationally. A discussion panel with the participation of the Visegrad Group countries resulted in strengthening relations and signing a cooperation agreement between Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

AV-POLAND 2017

In 2017, the 1st AV-POLAND Conference was held, organized by the Motor Transport Institute. Two subsequent editions of the conference were held as part of the AV-PL-ROAD project. It was the first in Poland and one of the most important events in 2017 related to autonomous vehicles. During the conference, representatives of the automotive industry, business world and scientists met to discuss the future of transport. Conference participants had the opportunity to test the innovative and available technology at that time, also in real conditions.
